Belbin Self Perception Team Role Profile

To find out which of the 9 Belbin Team Roles you have an affinity towards, and which ones you don’t, you need to start by completing a Belbin Self-Perception Inventory.

This is a questionnaire that takes about 20 minutes to complete. Delivered in English and online, the questionnaire delivers a comprehensive report which you can keep for reference and the option for skype feedback sessions where you can explore some of your development.

The Self-Perception Team Role Profile is based on your scoring of the Self-Perception Inventory. It shows on the right your “preferred roles”, in the middle your “manageable roles”, and to the left your “least preferred roles”. It is measured against the BELBIN® norm database of over 5,600 SPIs.

So for example, if you come out as 100% “Shaper”, it means that you very much aspire to play the “Shaper” role and that less than 1% of the people tested scored such a high mark for that role.

Conflict Resolution

The Thomas Killman Instrument (TKI) helps people identify their preferred approach to conflict, and looks at how to use different styles to cope with various types of conflict situations. It prompts people to think about their reaction to interpersonal friction, and suggests strategies to positively affect the outcome of conflict, both in terms of relationships and results.

The TKI can be used to manage conflict and improve communication in many different contexts:

  • Conflict management
  • Interpersonal skills development
  • Effective decision-making
  • Influencing and negotiating skills development
  • Team development
  • Line manager coaching
  • Executive coaching

This tool is ideal for helping an individual explore their own influencing style and how they can adapt this to be a more effective negotiator. It can also enhance interpersonal group dynamics, and is applicable at every level of an organisation, making the TKI and increasingly popular tool for people management. It promotes the idea that different strategies work better in different situations and that by being more aware of our ‘default’ approach, we can learn to choose the most appropriate approach to give us the results we want in a particular context.

Delivered in English and online, the questionnaire delivers a comprehensive report which you can keep for reference.

It is strongly advised to purchase with some form of feedback or coaching. This can be selected when ordering the product and should a feedback session be chosen, we will be in contact to arrange a mutually convenient time for this session.

The feedback sessions are going to be conducted over Skype. However, should a 1 on 1 coaching session be of interest, this can also be arranged by through mutual logistical agreement.
